Artist of the Month - August

Adam Turner

As an artist rooted in the rugged beauty of Idaho, my work draws deeply from the landscapes that surround me—rolling hills, high desert plains, mountain shadows, and shifting skies. I work primarily with natural materials and textures, seeking to echo the quiet, unpolished beauty of the world outside my door. Influenced by the principles of wabi-sabi, I embrace imperfection, impermanence, and the worn quality of things touched by time. My pieces often appear weathered or aged, evoking a sense of memory and place. I want my work to feel as if it has already lived a
life—found rather than made. By focusing on organic forms and subdued palettes, I aim to create a space for
stillness and reflection. Each piece is a meditation on the passage of time, the rhythm of the land, and the subtle grace found in the natural world.
