I became interested in art in high school when I took art and joined the Palette Club. I enjoyed doing art projects and painting windows at Christmas time.

I did art and craft projects on and off for several years. My dear friends decided to sign us up for oil painting classes with the Lone Trail Studio on Overland and Main Street. Our instructor was Glenna Brog Griener. I was hooked! She brought in guest instructors and taught herself among them was Mickey McQuire and artist from the southwest. The studio eventually burned down. I continued to paint on my own.

My next instructor was Blaine Call, who taught at College of Southern Idaho and East High School. He was an awesome teacher.

I enjoy painting at the Burley Senior Center and spending time with the other artists there. I thank the Cassia Arts Society for this honor.
